
As I go deeper into the understanding of the abandonment fear, I find that most people with a strong fear of abandonment actually self abandon. They “check out,” or wallow in feelings of self-pity, self-loathing and unworthiness.
In order to work with our rejection and abandonment fears, it is important to focus on techniques that keep you present with yourself and that are self-loving.
